How To Make Fried Chicken and Fries

Fried Chicken:

Place the chicken pieces in a large bowl and cover with buttermilk. Let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
In a large shallow dish, mix together the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
Remove the chicken from the buttermilk and dredge each piece in the seasoned flour mixture, making sure to coat thoroughly.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
Fry the chicken in batches, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crispy, about 15-18 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Drain the fried chicken on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Fries:

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
Toss the potato fries with olive oil, salt, paprika, and garlic powder in a large bowl.
Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fries are golden brown and crispy.
